Adam Littig's Book:
History of Mathematics, Third Edition, by Victor J. Katz,
ISBN: 978-0321387004
This is a great book for mathematicians because it includes great historical details and fabulous stories about the people of math. It helps to make students understand where math came from, how passionate a discipline it is, and how long it has been around. (Not "They invented this to torture us.")
Jose Recinos book
Burro Genio (Genius Donkey), by Victor Villasenor
ISBN-13 978 0 06 056683
This is a biography of the author relating how difficult it was to learn English and how his teachers seldom understood, but somehow one of them helped him eventually.
